Entrepreneurship in P.R.

One idea whose time has come is entrepreneurship. Almost every other guy is now an entrepreneur, or is about to become on. Our country will be the better for it. It is entrepreneurs who provide the daring and the first lessons of success, or failure, that those who come after them will learn . In PR, we need to show a stronger entrepreneurial drive, cracking more widely open new fields of practice, or creating entirely new fields that will further expand the reach, and influence, of PR. I for one see opportunities and challenges in promoting the Philippines, even without government support; in medical tourism, in introducing to the world a new breed of OFWs, and in new PR desks that will single out, for investors to come in, where the Philippines enjoys competitive advantage. There are opportunities for PR agencies that will specialize in SMEs, finding out their needs in the local and foreign markets and then helping sustain them, and as well in such other diverse fields as PR education, new forms of corporate social responsibility work, and even research and evaluation.
